Intro to Reference Photography for Artists
An introduction to using photography more effectively as reference material for drawing, painting, and other artistic endeavors.
Learn what makes photography useful as an artistic reference, why creating your own reference material matters, and practical techniques for capturing better reference photos using a camera or smartphone.
I’ll be presenting a free, abbreviated version of the “Reference Photography for Artists” Class from Aptura Photography at the Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society (MMFAS) Meeting. This is an introduction to the key concepts of using photography to create Reference Photographs for artistic endeavors.
NOTE: This meeting is free and open to guests, but there will be a thirty-minute organization meeting from around 7-7:30. You’re encouraged to attend starting at 7 to avoid disrupting the meeting.
